The Bible Visualized
Sixty-Six Clouds began in April 2009 as a simple blog post created by graphic designer Brad Thomas. Since then, it has grown into a collection of images and items that combine biblical content with design. Each book of the Old Testament, New Testament, and the entire Bible have been beautifully visualized as individual word clouds, presenting viewers with the gist of the Bible at a glance. The greater the frequency of a word in the source text, the larger it appears in the word cloud. The word counts are based on the 1984 New International Version of the Bible. Most common words and all numbers were removed when the word clouds were created. The maximum word limit per image is 150. Please contact hello@66clouds.com with comments, questions, or to request permission to use images.
Good News
It's a tremendous privilege to share the good news that God has sent His Son Jesus as Savior of the world:
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. -1 Peter 3:18
And how wonderful it is to know that God loves us and wants to have a personal relationship with us:
God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. -Acts 17:27
We must first be reconciled to God because we are all born sinful (a problem inherited from the first man, Adam). And unfortunately, the consequences of being born sinful is spiritual, physical and ultimately eternal death:
For the wages of sin is death, -Romans 6:23a
That's the bad news, but good news is found in the second half of Romans 6:23:
...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 6:23b
Like any other gift, a person must accept it from the Giver if they are to truly enjoy it. Right now God holds out the gift of forgiveness and eternal life to all who will humbly receive it by faith:
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. -Revelation 22:17
Have you repented (turned from sin toward God) of your sins and trusted in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness? Everyone who does can enjoy a loving relationship with God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the blessed Holy Spirit:
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
-2 Corinthians 13:14
Please feel free to contact me (Brad Thomas) at hello@66clouds.com if you would like to talk further or share your faith story. I would love to hear from you and encourage you in your spiritual journey:
May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. -Hebrews 13:20-21
